Fun Fair at Froyds Four days in Front of Fourth.
Thats alliteration bitches. The wife and I have a full day of prep planned, with visitors arriving at noon and party starting at 4. I think we are more prepared this year than in years past, but we still have alot to do. Besides what everyone else brings, we are making fried fish, fried cheese curds, fried onion rings, and Indian fry bread. Everyone will be fat fatties buy the time they leave here tonight. Speaking of that, official weigh in this morning, last day of the month was 195. Thats 10.5 lbs. lost in 27 days. Not too shabby. Those results could be skewed by the fact I have had the Hershey Squirts since Thursday night. I think I am getting nervous about the party. I didn't think that the IBS that my wife has was contagious but maybe she sexually transmitted it to me. Who knows, I guess its better than crabs and the clap.

Almost Party Time
Yesterday was a bit of a long day. We got outta work an hour late, but I still managed to mow the lawn in about 45 minutes. Local ground crews will not be hiring me anytime soon, it was a rush job, but I am glad I got it done. I barely had time to get to bowling, and now that I think about it, I am pretty sure I didn't have supper last night. I was feeling a bit dehydrated, so all I drank at bowling was water, until halfway through the last game. Then I had 2 rum and cokes, and that was it. This is the best I have felt after bowling in years. I have to pick up the wife today at the airport, go get some more groceries, and clean up the house. Tomorrow things continue with fixing up the launch pad, and getting the fish. It is going to be a long day, but worth it. I didn't go bike riding this morning, it was raining and I needed that extra hour of sleep. For those of you that are going to be at the party, git ready, for those of you who won't be(namely Sir Baldy, who is the master of toying with emotions) have a lame Saturday night.
Also it would be nice for those of you that read this to pray to your respective Gods that we don't' get rained out tomorrow. The wife said we can't light fireworks off in the house. Weak.
Thursday ABC-2 rum cokes
Thursday Exercise- 8.7 miles bike, 45 minutes mowing lawn
Friday Exercise- Zero.

Git'n Ready
For the big celebration. I went and bought water and beer tonight, you dirty bastards have 144 beers to drink by Sunday morning. I organised all of my fireworks, got the coolers out, and all the silverware, glasses, and plates. The only troubling thing is that I can't find my flag that represents our great country. I looked all over the garage and I still can't find it. That is one thing that I am not careless about, so I know that I didn't just leave it out or throw it out, but I will be damned if I know where the hell I put it. Hopefully the wifey knows where it is at, otherwise I will have to go find a local Betsy Ross to do up another one. However, down here in Florida I will probably be looking for Betsida Rosalita. Eh, if she can knit, so be it.
Poet, don't know it.

Back on Track.
Monday and Tuesday mornings were pretty tough on ole Ryan. The wife is outta town so I whooped it up pretty good on Sunday and Monday nights. Weigh in for Monday was 198, which is healthy weight loss, certainly not at the same rate as the week before but its probably better that way. I did get up and go bike riding both mornings, but I may have been legally intoxicated. I also got up and went riding this morning, turning over 1000 miles on my bike. I think I have over 200 this month alone. The evenings haven't been too crazy, except for the drinking. I had a delicious meal at a friends house on Monday, helped fix thier doorbell, went home and watched "Hells Kitchen". Last night I stayed away from the bottle and watched the movie "Shooter", and was in bed before 9:30. I feel like a million and one dollars today. Tonight I need to start getting everything together for the Grand 4th of July Celebration. It is going to be wonderful.

New Music Tuesday/Month in review.
I only purchased 2 new cds this last week, Poison-Poison'd, and Toby Keith-Big Dog Daddy. They are both pretty good, and the Poison CD came with 2 free tickets to their summer concert. Excellent.
June Music Review:
Best CD
A tie between Children of Bodom-Are You Dead Yet?, and Tiger Army-Music from Regions Beyond.
The COB disc is one of the best metal albums I have heard. It ranks right up there with In Flames and Mastodon. Lamb of God could learn a lesson from them on song differentiation.
Tiger Army-Excellent CD. I have been playing this one quite a bit, and it still hasn't got old. Even though the dude kinda sings like a sissy, it fits the music perfectly. They Rock.
Biggest Disappointment
Lamb of God-Sacrament. For being the supposed "saviors" of hardcore metal, I am not impressed. It is hard for me to tell the difference between every song on the cd. Weak.
One from the Vaults
Sepultura-Chaos A.D. This disc never gets old, one of my favorite heavy albums of all time.
This next video was passed on to my by Sir Baldy. This band leaves me speechless every time I watch it.

Chirs Benoit Dead
For those of you who don't watch wrestling on a normal basis, Chris Benoit(The Rabid Wolverine/Nilsen look alike), his wife, and 7 year old son were found dead tonight in their home. Some of you may say/think that this is fake because it is wrestling, but unfortunately it is not. Whatever the outcome of this, we should all look around and be appreciative of what we have, the friends we have, and the lifestyles we live.

Weekend Review.
This is going to be a long one, so for those of you reading this Monday morning drinking your coffee, you might want to take a shit now because you probably won't make it through. This was a good weekend, here is the recap...
Friday: Tired as hell from bowling and riding bike all week. Still woke up in the morning to do my bike ride, but I wouldn't call it enjoyable. Work went pretty good, except for the firedrill at the end of the day, but eh, fuckit. I go home and cleaned up the house a little, until the wife got home and decides it's necessary to go buy a new cell phone. Since I am a Motorolan and I would like to keep my job, I demand that she buys only Motorola phones(that goes for the rest of you as well). She ended up getting a pretty cool slider phone. I honestly don't know when the last time it was that she was that excited about a new piece of technology. Then we went to the QD for a couple drinks,(against my will, I was still sooo tired). After our drinks we went to Circuit City to buy some movies to watch. Here is what we got: Stephen King 3 pack: Dreamcatcher, The Shining, Shawshank Redemption. John Carpenters: The Thing. and John Carpenters: Vampires. While we were at the store Pistol Pete called and asked us to meet him for drinks. Usually I would have said 'Hell No', but at the end of the day I made some slightly negative comments to him so I figured I better go, so he doesn't feel sorry for himself. So the wife and I went to Rosey Babies, had some drinks, then went home and watched "Dreamcatcher". Honestly, it was pretty good. I thought it stuck to the book fairly well(although I haven't read the book in 3 years). Next thing you know its 1 in the morning and bedtime.
Friday ABC's 5 beers, 2 whiskey cokes.
Saturday Recap.
Erin and I drug our tired butts out of bed at 7 in tha morning to do our bike ride. I let her lead because I thought she would go slower, but apparently she had the fast stick up her ass and decided to go faster than normal. My legs were burning by the time I got done. We then proceeded to Lowes to buy various things for the house/lawn. That pretty much planned the rest of the day. We made a new border for the plants out back, I dug up dead lawn and laid new sod, she trimmed the back tree and cleaned the porch, as well as the house. I pressure washed the fence and treated the lawn. That is definitely the hardest we have both worked on the house in a long time. When we were done all we wanted to do was go to sleep, but some friends called and mentioned: pizza, drinks, and games. We headed over there for fun and merriment. Next thing I know, its 11:30 and time to go home.
Saturday Exercise: 9 miles
Saturday ABC's: 12 beers. Very disturbing. They went down like water, and I wasn't very tipsy. I guess all this biking is making me a better drinker
Sunday: At the ass crack of dawn(8:00) my alarm goes off because happy-ass Jer-Bear decided it would be a delightful idea to go buy fireworks at 9 in the morning. It turns out that he was right and it was a delightful time. I find it disturbing that the best customer service in South Florida is at a Fireworks Store.(Skyking Fireworks, go there, you WILL leave happy......just broke.) My total bill for Fireworks was $212. Some of you might find that an extravagant expense for fireworks, but those of you that think that probably haven't been to our party. When God blessed America, at that exact same moment he gave the Chinese the ability to manufacture fireworks, and that is why you MUST have a Grand Celebration. When we got back from spending too much money on fireworks, I dropped Erin off at the airport(she will be gone for a week for work), went to work for 2 hours, came home and watched "Snakes on a Plane". I thought this was a dandy movie. Very similar to any of the Die Hard Movies.

Bowling, ishhhhhhhhh.
Yesterday afternoon and evening was a series of unfortunate events capped off by bowling a 101 my last game. The day started out so promising. The wife took the dog to the vet(usually my responsibility) for her annual check-up. My wife was worried about a lump on the dog that she was sure a cancerous tumor, which turned out to be a fatty growth that didn't need to be removed. Annie has a lot in common with Fergie: Neither one of the them can sing, and they both have lady lumps. Annielicious. 12:00 hit and things started going downhill, work went okay but not great, I get home and start fixing the fridge and I knock over my good dark beer onto the white tile, I clean the tile, go into the man room to get another beer and step in dog shit(we think it was due to all the vaccinations the dog got that morning). The dog shit ruined my last pair of clean ankle socks, which means I had to wear long socks to bowling. I hate wearing long socks, and that is why I bowled like shit. I still don't have any clean short socks so here I am writing this with fucking long socks on and my legs are all hot and itchy and I don't like it. Other than the long socks I am hoping for a better day today. I did get up and ride bike this morning at 5(it was an epic battle to free myself from the bed), and I am looking forward to an easy day at work. I am going to try not to drink tonight because the wife already has tomorrow planned out with chores inside and outside. Yuck.

Knowing when to give in
When one is on a diet and exercise regimen it is very important to stick to the plan to see results. However it is also important to know when to let it slide. When one is presented with a homemade pizza that is made just the way one likes it, then one must partake. Maybe I didn't stick to the exact "plan" and have exactly 1.25 slices of pizza, but that mutherfuckin pizza was too good to pass up. Quality of life is far more important than love handles anyways. Everyone should remember this whenever they are trying to stick to something.

Ass Crack of Dawn
So this week at work hasn't been overly joyful. Cinco and I have been dealing with an abnormaly picky customer, we are talking Chef Ramsey picky, only without the accent or attitude. Actually for a good part of the year work hasn't been overly joyful, especially the first part of the year, we did have a month of down time that was enjoyable, but it seems like our customers are becoming bigger pains in the asses than they have in the past. Yesterday something happened that didn't have to do with customers, but is going to make coming to work more enjoyable. I have been hopeing something like this would happen for quite some time and it finally came to fruition yesterday. We got approval to come in at 7 and leave at 4, rather than 8 to 5. This may not seem like a big deal, but getting home an hour early makes all the difference in the world. I really don't mind waking up that much earlier either, all I am doing in the morning is sleeping anyways, an hour earlier in the morning is worth the sacrifice in my opinion. It does make for an extra early morning if I want to exercise. Hopefully I will get used to waking up at 5...
Uff, I feel like my wife. I seem to have used alot of words to say not very much.
Tuesday additional exercise: 4 miles

New Music Tuesday....Sort of
I had high aspirations for this portion of my blog, but alas, I didn't really discover anything new or noteworthy. Not that there isn't anything new out there, I just haven't found it quite yet. The only new music I am listening to right now is the Raconteurs-Broken Boy Soldiers, and Tiger Army-Music from Regions Beyond(which is a very fine album I must add). The other music is a little older, but maybe some of you would like it. Here is the list:
The Raconteurs-Broken Boy Soldiers
Tiger Army-Music From Regions Beyond-
Lamb of God-Sacrament
Children of Bodom-Are You Dead Yet?
Happy Listening.

Rain, Rain, Go Away.
Well, that might be a bit selfish, since we are in a drought, but still, is it too hard to rain from 8 am to 430 pm? Or perhaps all night long? Once again I dodged a deluge but still got wet from a constant sprinkle and numerous puddles. I might have been able to avoid it if I had hung out at work an extra half hour, but lets not be ridiculous. I am changing my approach. I knew that I would have to drive today due to some errands that I have to run at lunch, so I got my ass up at 6 this morning and rode 8.7 miles around Sawgrass Mall. Pretty boring, but it is much safer, cooler, and most importantly drier. Probably a better workout all in all, since I don't have to stop for traffic lights and idiot drivers. I wonder if it is better for the metabolism to have two workouts spaced throughout the day, rather than one workout right away in the morning? I guess I'll find out next Monday. I will have the New Music Tuesday update later today.

Weigh Day Monday.
199.5. Down 4 from last Monday, down 6 total. Not too bad, might be even lower if not for my love of the drink on the weekends. My master plan is to get down to 190(hopefully by the end of June, depending on if I plateau out), then once I am at 190, I will maintain healthy eating and bike riding, but also start lifting, while supplementing my diet with extra protein to support the lifting. Hopefully I will top out at 200. Then I will be done. The tricky part will be dropping down to 190, I don't expect that I can maintain dropping 3 pounds a week for much longer without upping my exercise, or completely stopping drinking. I could up my exercise a little, but the stopping drinking isn't going to happen. A brutha's gotta live. As long as the weather keeps holding up I will keep biking, but its getting fuckin hot.
That's enough talk about that, I sound like a 16 year old girl getting ready for prom.
Had a good weekend, went shooting on Saturday and killed quite a bit of paper at the range, my Glock is finally working the way it is supposed to, and I am getting a little more accurate. Did quite a bit of fishing this weekend, and I believe I hooked into Nessy on Saturday night but I wasn't able to reel her in. Yesterday was stormy all day, and I didn't accomplish much of anything.
Weekend Stats
Saturday exercise:9.5 miles
Saturday ABC: NFI(No Fucking Idea) we'll say 12.

Grey Day Saturday
Its 9 in the morning and still kinda dark out. It is supposed to rain all day today, with possible heavy thunderstorms. Perfect. That means I don't have to feel bad about staying inside and doing nothing today. The wife and I got up at 630 and went for our bike ride already. Its a little cooler that early, there is alot less traffic, and we wanted to get it done before the rain. 9.5 miles. Didn't do too much last night, went out for supper and watched " Lucky Number Slevin". A damned fine movie, I recommend it to everyone. That is all for now, I am off to make a buttprint in the sofa.

A Good Night of Bowling is Better than......
a bad day crappin your pants. I was a bit cool on the first game(123) but the 2nd(185) and 3rd(161) games I was on fire. Usually when we bowl we play poker as well. A spare gets you 1 card, a strike gets you 2 cards, he who has the best poker hand wins. Usually we throw in 1 dollar per person, if there is a frame where 3 of us get strike and the 4th doesn't then he throws in a dollar. 1st game I won with 4 of a kind with 2 wilds, 3 bucks to me. yay. Second game we decided to throw in 5 bucks a person, with the person that doesn't strike on a frame with strikes throws in 5 bucks instead of 1. Pot was up to 25 bucks, I win with a full house. 20 bucks to me. yay. Lost the third game(also 5 bucks a person). I threw in my winnings toward the bar tab and called it a night. I also did well with the drinking. I feel like a million bucks this morning. I did have to be wary of a certain woman at the alley that has a tendency to sneak up on people and Hugmob them. However, since it was singular, I guess Hugmug is a better term, I will have to consult Websters. All in all a good evening. I rode bike this morning, but we'll have to see how the weather holds up for this afternoon.

Morbidly Obese
So last night, I did something that I try not to ever do. Plop my butt down in front of the TV and start channel surfing. For some reason in my mind I find that watching TV is a waste of time, whereas playing video games all night is not. Pretty weird. Anyways, I changed the channel to TLC and I couldn't turn away. They had two shows on back to back. The first was called 627lb. Woman, and the next was called Half Ton Man. It was like watching a train wreck, I couldn't turn away. Both shows were equally disgusting, but I felt sorry for the people. At that point it is a disease just like alcoholism or drug dependency. Those people just don't have the stop eating gene. The half ton man hadn't left his house in 7 years! I couldn't imagine anything like that. We should all be thankful that we don't have that problem, or know anyone that has that problem. If the shows are on I encourage you to watch them, they are pretty interesting. It really makes being 10-20lbs overweight seem trivial.

Wild Night
So last night I get home from an exhausting bike ride, and the first thing the wife says to me is, "you wanna go to the strip club?" In my mind I was like, no not really, the last thing that I wanna do is go look at a bunch of naked chicks. However I knew she really wanted to go, so I said okay. We get to the strip club and have a wonderful time, with both of us getting too many lap dances to count. Next thing I know I am at home with 2 women, one of which was my wife. It was awesome.
NOPE.
I didn't have anything interesting to write so I made up a little story.
Tuesday Exercise: 10 miles

I am kinda getting the hang of this no drinking thing, but we'll see how tonight goes, last week wednesday was my moment of weakness.

New Music Tuesday
Tuesday is generally thought of as a worthless day. Hells Kitchen isn't on, it isn't a humpday, there are still 3 more days until Friday, not very many Happy Hours are planned on Tuesdays, its just kind of a dumb day. The one positive attribute to it is that Tuesdays are the day when most new music, DVD's, and video games are released.(If anyone can think of another reason why Tuesdays are good, I would like to hear it, because I am at a loss). So anyways, every Tuesday, I will give you a list of music to check out, some of it just released, some has been out for awhile. I am not saying to rush out and buy it, but find a site that gives short samples and take a listen, you never know, you just might like it. I will not say what "type" of music it is, because those with a closed mind might not bother to check it out, and sometimes music just can't be placed in a category.
Here is my list for this week:
Tiger Army: Music from Regions beyond.
The Twang: Love it when I feel like this.
The Travelling Willburys: Collection
Lordi: The Arockalypse
Opeth: Damnation
That is all.
Monday Exercise: 9 Miles Bike

Dead Snakehead.
I am like an assassin hired by the Florida Wildlife Commission. Snakehead fish got released into our ecosystem by people that buy them illegally at Asian Meat Markets and then release them in to the wild(highly illegal). Once established in the ecosystem they can destroy most aquatic life. They eat what fish eat, as well as the fish themselves, and they hatch a lot of little fuckers every time they spawn. The FWC has a kill order for these fish and if you catch one, and under no circumstances should they be released back into the wild.

Weekend Update
Pretty good weekend all in all. I woke up Saturday a little fuzzy in the head from poker on Friday night. Went over the Jer and Jess Bears in the morning and helped him install his crown molding. This was one of the smoothest jobs concerning home improvement that I have ever helped with. There was only 1 seam that I wasn't overly pleased with, but that is what caulk was invented for. Saturday night the wife and I went down to meat some of her friends down in Hollywood at a bar called Billabongs. Picture a cross between, Squirrels nest, Buzzes Liquor Lounge and Charlies. They had 18 beers on tap, none of which were any form of light domestic. I had 6 beers there(Newcastle, Murphy's stout, and Stella, mmmm...Stella) Then we went to Bass Pro and had supper there, and 2 beers(Murphy's and a Landshark) all those different beers gave me a case of the mudbutt yesterday. Yesterday the wife and I went on a 9 mile bike ride, did some shopping, got the boat charged up and cleaned out, and did a lap around the lake. The fish continue to mock me by not biting my lures, but I will get those fuckers one day. I did the weigh in this morning and lost a whopping 2 pounds. 13 more to go. That is all.

Poker Winnings
World poker tour here I come! Probably not. However I did do some winning last night. I started with 20 bucks and after counting my winnings in a hungover stupor I count $30.25. Not bad. Then I realize I also paid for pizza(8 bucks), paid for I think half of my beer(5 bucks) and dirty Juan Stinko owes me 6 bucks. When you look at it like that my profits go from 10.25 to 29.25. If I keep this up I will be rich before I know it. On a side note, I think the Pistol might be on the rag this week. His hormones were running high last night, and unless he gets some midol bad things might happen.
Friday Exercise: 5.5 miles bike
Friday ABC's: .65 gallons of beer, 2 cans of beer, 2 g&t's. The gin and tonics were completely unnecessary, but it seemed like a good idea at the time.

Cleverness lost
I am pretty sure I had some witty comments in my head for this blog last night during my drunken stupor, but I cannot recall any of them this morning. Bowling went well last night, I don't know what kind of points we won last night, because 2 members of the opposing team were still establishing their averages, but as a team we did pretty good. I bowled around my average. I didn't quite realize my average last year was a 146, so that caught me by surprise. I bowled a 137, 132 and 155. Not too bad considering I haven't bowled since Sir Baldy blessed us with his presence. We are going to have a good league this year, there is 12 teams which is the most we have ever had. Hopefully Smooth Lou had a chance to tune in and watch the chaos of the Motorola Bowling League from wherever he is at.
My drink tally was really up there last night, I had 2 beers before bowling, a rum/coke and 5 beers at bowling, and then 1 rum/coke after bowling while I was assailed from all angles by the emotional hurricane that is my wife(It had to be close to a CAT 5, if I had shutters for my ears I definitely would have installed them).
I did ride bike to work this morning as penance for my alcoholic intake last night.
On a positive note, my probation from my disorderly conduct has finally run out, so now I can piss in any alley I want without additional repercussions other than the standard disorderly conduct charge. yay.
Thursday Exercise: 0
Thursday ABC's: 2 rum/cokes, 7 beers.

Rain Roulette
It was pretty much one big fat thunderstorm yesterday, all day, and I was a little concerned about my bike ride home last night. If it was raining like a motherfucker out when I walked out the building I was going to try to scam a ride home from someone. Luckily I walked out the door to a light shower, and since I am not a wicked witch, or made of sugar, I knew that I wouldn't melt, and so, I began the trek home. One forgets the fact that, while it may not be raining hard, the road is still wet, which means that the cars and SUVs driving next to you throw up a cumulonimbus cloud of vapor, that does a far better job of soaking one then the rain. The tires on a bicycle also do a fair job of firing water directly at the crotch as well as the backside, which I assume feels close to a Bidet, though I have never tried one. I made it home a soggy mess, but at least it didn't rain like a motherfucker on the way, that would have made it very miserable. Once home, I flipped the deciding coin as to whether or not I would have a drink to reward myself for three days in a row of bike, one of which was very soaky. The deciding coin was in my favor so yes, I did consume beverages of an alcoholic nature last night. They were delicious.

Can't wait until tomorrow.
For 1 its bowling, and 2 I won't be riding my bike tomorrow. My taint feels as though it recieved an uppercut from Mike Tyson(World Champion Mike Tyson, not tatooed can't finish a fight Tyson). Tonight riding home might be a bit of a challenge due to the fact we are supposed to have thunderstorms all day. I avoided drinking last night even though we had friends over and I grilled, I was suprised that my grill worked without a beer in my hand, but I guess stranger things have happened. That is all, quit reading this and get back to work.

back for the attack.
I seemed to do so much better with this blogging stuff during bowling league last year, so now, as league is about to start, I will try to step it up. I am thinking I am going to bring back the alcoholic beverages consumed (ABC) tally. That way I will have something to chat about every day. I am going to try to be better though. I have discovered that sometime within the last 5 years I have been growing a bit of a gut. Not a six pack anymore, but not quite a keg either, I would compare it to one of those mini kegs that you can buy at grocery stores. Lack of exercise along with copious amounts of booze are to blame, I don't think I can blame it on genetics, thyroid, or depression. So to remedy this I am trying to cut back on the booze. (I know I have said this in the past, but maybe this time it will be different). Thursdays are bowling, and Fridays and Saturdays don't go by the same without sweet alcohol, but the rest of the week I am going to cut back. Completely cutting it out might be too much to ask, so I am going to start by saying no drinking after 9.(hey, its a start). Hopefully this will also help with the waking up in the middle of the night and having to piss like a racehorse. As far as the exercise, I plan on riding bike to work at least 2 days a week(a total of 18 miles) hopefully more. Sooner or later I will start lifting, but I don't want to start this week because I don't want to damage my stellar bowling game with muscle soreness. So there you go. I will send all my faithful readers a copy of muscle and fitness once I am on the cover.
