Turkey Day Pre-Test

Wild weekend coming up. The in-laws are coming down and bringing their new dog with them, we are doing Thanksgiving with them on Saturday, and then heading down to the Season Finale Nascar race at Homestead on Sunday. Next week we are having Thanksgiving at our house and having 15 people over to watch football and eat too much food. I am smoking a 12lb bird and frying another 12 lb bird. The frying I am not to worried about, it is pretty foolproof, the smoking on the other hand... well we'll see. That is what I am doing my pretest with. The in-laws, wife, myself, and the dogs will be the guinea pigs. I have a 12 pounder soaking in a brine right now. It needs to soak for 24 hours. Today at lunch I am going to go buy some apple and maple smoking chips, then tonight I have to mix up the dry rub for the bird. Tomorrow morning I have to wake up at the ass crack of dawn, dry off the turkey, apply the rub, start up the smoker, get it up to about two-fitty, throw the bird in, and smoke it for about 6 hours. Hopefully no-one will get the shits from eating it. If everything goes well, I will just need to repeat on Thursday, if everything does not go well, I will not tell anyone.

Wednesday ABC: 4 beers, 1 whiskey coke
Wednesday Exercise: Walk 2 miles

Thursday ABC: 0
Thursday Exercise: Bike 30 min., Walk 1 mile

Oh yeah, here is one thing that I thought would never say," the new Meatloaf cd is good, in a cheesy kina way."

Now, why do you think Meatloaf felt the need to re-do that old song? (I can't think of the name -- but it plagued the air waves about ten years ago and is back for round 2.) It annoys the crap out of me.

And a new video too? Crist on crutches!

Did the english major just spell Christ wrong? I am shocked!

What song did he re-do? I live in a music tomb.

The devil made me misspell "Christ." Sorry, Baby Jesus.

The meatloaf song is that duet that is annoying. That's all the deatil I cna provide because when it comes on, I throw up, and the barfing muffles the sound.
