Back to the Real World

Well, after a nice 8 days off, I returned to the big M yesterday to resume my quest for CEO. It was nice to be back and have some structure in my life, rather than the diaper/feeding madness that was paramount at home, but on the other hand, the whole stay at home Dad deal wouldn't be so bad either. Alas, there will be toys, toys, toys to buy so I must earn some money. Erin's first day home alone went fine, I don't think she pinched him, and he wasn't duct taped to the ceiling when I got home, so it couldn't have been too bad. I finally got some sleep last night, only having to wake up for the 3 o'clock at the 530 feeding, while Erin took the midnight feeding. Erin had the good idea to stick to regular 3 hour feedings for now, instead of letting him sleep until he woke himself up. When he wakes himself up from being hungry he believes that is is starving to death, and thinks that he has minutes to live before he expires. So he eats like a Ethiopian at the Golden Coral, and then becomes gassy and irritable. Feeding him constantly suppresses the chaos slightly and makes it easier to put him back to bed. I have a feeling he will grow up to be like Juan Cinco and Erin, who both get quite irritable when they can't eat at the exact moment in which they deem fit.

That is all. Good Day.

Nothing wrong with eating like that. We are predictable and easy to please with food at the appropriate times. Speaking of, I gotta wake the monster up.

It's probably smart to wake him up and head off that I'm-gonna-die hunger crying. Easier on the nerves that way.

Yeah, I think the 3 hour feedings sound better than a starve-crazed little guy. Gotta keep the little prince happy.

So true about Juan Cinco - I guess that doesn't bode well for little Juanita, does it?

Oh he's such a Froyd. Happy if eating (or drinking, when older) then gassy as all hell.

Sounds like you've got the parenting thing down pat...just do whatever the little monster wants to keep it happy!
