Big Project
Yeah, yeah, yeah, so I haven't blogged in awhile, I have been quite busy. I have a pretty big project going on in the house right now. I am building a bookcase in the room where the fishtank was(for those of you who have been there), speaking of which we have a free 75 gallon fishtank and stand for anyone that wants it. So far everything has been going very smooth with the project. The wife and I went and bought cabinets that the bookcase is going to stand on, on Saturday. If I was very motiviated, and had at the minimum a table saw, I would have attempted making my own cabinets, but I don't have the right tools and I am fairly lazy. On Sunday I had to move an electrical outlet over about 8 inches so the cabinets wouldn't cover it up, and I removed the Satellite tv cable from the Man Room and relocated it to the new room.(drilling through 12" of poured concrete is not a good time, in case anyone was wondering.) Monday I patched the old electrical outlet hole and repainted the wall. Last night was the night I was dreading the most. I had to mount the cabinets to the wall. After last night I now understand why cabinet makers/installers get paid so much damn money. What a fiddly pain in the ass process. It also didn't help that 1. I don't think the cabinets were perfectly square, 2, the room I was putting them in was crooked as a politician, and 3 they were going over our laminate floor which has distinct straight lines in it, so you can tell real quick how crooked it is. After much screwing(not the sexual sort) unscrewing, and shimming, I finally got them to the point where the wife and I are happy with them. They are straight with the floor and straight up and down and that is all a brutha can ask for. I am taking a break from the project tonight, I have to help the Jer-bear put in his satellite radio. Its just like back in high school, I am helping put in stereos and getting paid in beer. Its a good thing work doesn't pay me like that, I would be blogging from the local dialysis unit.

Well, you're already very far with the project. You'll be done in no time at all!
