It was a little bit of a disappointment. We didn't see any hogs, deer, or squirrel, and we only saw 3 birds that we could shoot, we missed two and didn't have a chance at the third. All in all though, it was still a beautiful day, we got lots of fresh air, and it certainly beat work. The only thing that I really accomplished was the following:
Yep, got the Blazer a little stuckey stuck. We were back tracking and I coulda swore that those were our tracks going right through the center of the crevasse, but apparently not. I had also been having trouble getting the 4 wheel drive to engage all day, and it chose this fine opportunity not to engage. It was about 3 inches from filling up the insides with water. Luckily it was the first day of the quota hunt so they had the FWC chopper flying, which spotted us and called the FWC swamp buggy, which pulled us out in a jiffy. We were probably stuck for no longer than 20 minutes. Had this been camping in February we would not have been so lucky and we would not have only been up, but also stuck in, shit creek for God knows how long.
The good news is that after we got pulled out, the 4 wheel drive works just fine.
