Today I got everything buttoned down for Ernie. Locked up all the loose stuff on the outside of the house, pulled "suck my wake" outta the water so she doesn't float away, dropped down the shutters on the big windows, and put up the shutters around the porch. Cruella came home from work early and made me put up shutters on the front of the house too. All in all in took about 2.5 hours. I bitched and moaned when she made me put up the front ones, but at least she helped, and she is probably right, 2.5 hrs of easy labor is better than 3 weeks of hassle if the storm turns really shitty. Dammit I hate it when she makes good points. Either way, I feel that we are overprepared, but that's what you get for living in Minnesota most of your life.."better safe than sorry". The bottom picture is too show you prestorm, and I hope to get out there during the worst of it to show an example during the storm, but we will see if Mother Hen lets me out. Now I am bored off my ass. At least the electricity hasn't gone out yet. More beer here!

Cruella tried not to nag and knows you will feel much better in the long run. If you didn't put the shutters up and we had damage, just think how many years of nagging and bitching I would have to hold over you :)

The house looks very safe; I'm sure no one will steal your beers. Hey, with no work tomorrow, maybe we should all have a fun little party while Erin has to work!
BTW, got out and ran my 3 miles today -- I was freakin' fast. You better be afraid.
